As of 2025, Friends has moved away from a membership model, shifting our focus from a transactional relationship to a more relational, mission-driven approach that aims for greater financial potential and flexibility.. We still very much rely on donations to cover operating expenses. Membership dues allow us to maintain a small amount of staff, write and manage grants, run programs and projects and make strategic plans and partnerships for our growth. In exchange, you get warm fuzzies from being a good friend of Friends.
